We are excited to announce that the 3rd annual, New Brunswick School Maker Faire will be held on Wednesday, May 29th at Millidgeville North School, in Saint John New Brunswick. Join the fun and excitement by bringing your students to this engaging celebration of maker education as students from across the province exhibit their STEAM projects, Ev3 robotics competitions and entrepreneurial innovations.
Students at Blackville High School students have been busy in their makerspace crafting buttons and signs to help encourage communities to vote for Renous as this year's Kraft Hockeyville in memory of BHS student Thomas Dunn. Check out their story and get ready to vote March 29th.
Join Brilliant Labs and our friends at STEAM PEI & Kids Code Jeunesse as we celebrate the making community in PEI by welcoming youth and their families to enjoy all that making can give us. We will have fun interactive projects, coding, robotics and prizes. This is a free community event.
Cardboard For Kitty is a youth lead fundraising event for the Saint John SPCA Animal Rescue. Inspired by cats who love cardboard, this event welcomes teams of 2-5 people to build cardboard cat homes in 2.5 hours on April 6th at the Market Square Atrium, Saint John NB. The regional Scratch Competition is now open for submissions with deadlines for projects beginning April 19th in Newfoundland & Labrador and May 31st for Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island & New Brunswick. Visit our official Scratch page for more details and to submit your project.
